Where to begin...I got here by happy accident 3 years ago and haven't regretted it since. It's been a wicked journey from day one, flabbergasted by how good some of the work on here was and I instantly fell in love with the place. Met some really good artists on here that guided me in so many ways, first with my traditional and then digital art and I'm still learning. Soooo...where was I...June 27, 2011. I was doing volunteer work at a local children's home and just browsing for something to practice drawing from and Google led me straight to DA. Spent my first few days on here totally mesmerized by all the art. I think I watched about two hundred artists that very first day alone
I cant remember what the first deviation was I submitted, I wasn't really interested right then in my own work until I found tutorials and learned how to get better with things. I never tried color in my sketches being colorblind and all so I kept to pencil and just had fun with it. It never had to be perfect, just fun and learning from others was always fun so I kept up with it.
About the beginning of last year my dad got me a digital tablet for my birthday though and it started off kinda rocky but again the amazing people on here jumped right in and started helping me. I went from this
which was my first attempt at digital to this
a short while later to
not too long after that. I couldn't have done it without the help and support of fellow deviants though. Today I'm here
and still growing as an artist, learning new things every day and getting to know more people on here every day.
Here is what I hope to achieve though someday, God willing with my own art. It's slow going but I'll get there with the help and inspiration from amazing people using their God given talents to make the lives of others just a little better
Each tells a story. Vibrance, color, emotion. All beautifully captured and created with painstaking detail, loving attention to the smallest leaves. Telling the story through one image, making the viewer want more, wonder what's next or what lead up to this scenario. Each artist bringing to reality what they imagined, bringing to life something that wasn't there before. Creating new worlds, new life, new passions.
One of the biggest reasons I'm here and here still after so many times of throwing my hands up in frustration is
We met on here almost three years ago too and she's become my best friend and the inspiration for my work. My muse. Thank you Peanut
Happy Birthday DeviantArt and thank you for being there for me, for all of us, to share our imaginations in all forms. Here's to another 14 years !!!
